As a Somerset wedding photographer, I’ve had the joy of capturing many beautiful weddings, but Steph and Paul’s day at Haselbury Mill truly stood out. These two have such warmth and genuine love that it was impossible not to get caught up in the excitement and emotion of their celebration. Their wedding was full of laughter, heartfelt moments, and the kind of relaxed vibe that made everyone feel right at home - exactly how a wedding should be. I also had the added bonus of returning to Haselbury Mill for the first time as a photographer after getting married at the venue back in 2017 and where my inspiration for becoming a wedding photographer came from. A surreal day it was.

Steph’s Glow and Paul’s Mesmerised Smile

From the moment Steph stepped into the room, she was absolutely glowing. Her dress was stunning, but it was her beaming smile and effortless joy that really lit up the day. And Paul? Well, you could see how utterly mesmerised he was - that look on his face when he first saw Steph walking down the aisle said it all. Capturing those little moments of pure, unfiltered emotion between them was a real privilege.

A Ceremony Full of Love and Laughter

The ceremony was a beautifully intimate affair, surrounded by the people who matter most to Steph and Paul. There was a real sense of warmth and joy as they exchanged vows in the gorgeous setting of Haselbury Mill. It wasn’t just about the formalities - it was about genuine connection, shared stories, and the unmistakable feeling that these two were surrounded by support and love every step of the way.

The Timeless Charm of Haselbury Mill

Haselbury Mill is a gem of a venue tucked away in the heart of Somerset countryside, and it certainly lived up to its reputation on Steph and Paul’s big day. The rustic stone walls and lush gardens gave the perfect mix of countryside charm and elegant comfort. The venue’s character really added something special to the day, providing beautiful backdrops and a relaxed atmosphere that perfectly suited the couple’s style.

Moments That Made This Wedding Truly Their Own

One of the standout highlights was the joyful moment when Steph and Paul walked through a tunnel of raised hands from their guests during their ceilidh - such a brilliant, lively way to celebrate with all the guests! And the personal touches didn’t stop there. Steph’s senior students from Razzmatazz took to the stage between the main course and dessert, serenading the room (and Paul) with some wonderful performances. It was such a lovely, unique touch that brought a personal and fun energy to the evening, making it clear this wedding was all about celebrating the things that mean the most to them.

Steph and Paul’s wedding at Haselbury Mill was a day full of real moments, beautiful settings, and laughter that will stay with everyone lucky enough to be there.
