Capturing Your Special Moments

As I’ll be finding out your story as I capture your day, it’s best if I tell you a little bit about myself and what inspires me and why I love wedding photography.

Since I was a child, I have always carried a camera in my hands. Whether it be a wind-up camera snapping the classic holiday pics, or disastrous selfies, or it being a cam-recorder taking clips whilst swimming abroad. I absolutely love sharing my life with whoever I can, but I have always kept this passion running in the background, whilst I chased my dream to be the best I could in the pool, or on the pool deck as a coach.

My Passion for Photography

When COVID came along and we came out the other side of it, I decided that this was the one chance I had at pursuing my passion for photography full-time. With a very supportive wife and now as a Dad to two amazing girls, I am free and will never look back.

What inspired me to be a wedding photographer and what’s important to me?

So, I was inspired to get in to wedding photography funnily enough by my own wedding photographer and then also seeing the photographer at work at my sisters wedding. I quickly got a few bookings for friends and realised soon after that seeing the joy of two people tying the knot on their special day and taking their photos would never get tiring.

Telling the Story of Your Special Day

I absolutely love being able to tell the story of the day, shed a few tears at the speeches, and leave the day feeling like I’ve known the couple for years, not just a day. This is what is important to me. I get so attached to the day itself and photographing every little detail that the couple wants. I also get to know everyone’s names as quickly as possible (comes from my coaching days) and by the end of the day, I just feel part of it.

Blending in with the Wedding Guests

Building such a connection with a couple is really integral to what I do. It ultimately helps the couple feel relaxed and happy with the whole process, not just the wedding day itself. If I can make a couple feel more comfortable, then the couple is more likely to feel comfortable in front of the camera.

I love what I do and here are the reasons why…

Why I love wedding photography?

I’ve probably mentioned this above, but ultimately I LOVE taking photos. I also love being able to share photos with couples, brands, family and friends and seeing their reactions and feedback. It gives me a massive kick. It also means a lot to me, to be a part of your big day. It takes a lot to book a stranger and welcome them in on your biggest day of your journey of a couple, so it means the world to me and I hope that right from the beginning I can put you at ease.

If I am not at weddings, I do alot of photography in the sports industry, so there is never a day I am not taking photographs. It’s my passion and I feel lucky to do what I do. I hope I can share this enthusiasm with you on your big day.

My Approach

I call myself an extroverted, introvert. I absolutely love working with people, but at the same time I enjoy time to myself and driving my business forward. On your wedding day, I will throw myself at everything, but my main aim is to make you relax and enjoy your big day.

I shoot in a very natural, informal and unobtrusive way. There are times for more posed photos which I love, but the main thing I want to capture is the smiles, tears and everything in between.

Wedding Enquiries to Delivery of Your Photos

Right from your enquiry until the delivery of your photos, I strive to make myself as known to you as a couple as possible. From multiple calls, to keeping in touch emails, I want to eradicate the awkwardness of only seeing you for the first time on your wedding day.
