Lucy and Matthew’s wedding at Curated Canvas at Noah’s Pond felt like the perfect excuse to spend the entire day outside. Sunshine, open countryside, a celebrant-led ceremony in the woods and a tipi filled with all their favourite people... it suited them down to the ground. The whole setting had this relaxed, outdoorsy feel to it, and I really enjoyed photographing a wedding that made so much of the landscape around it.

The views were a huge part of the day too. From Noah’s Pond, you get these wide views across the countryside towards the White Horse, which made such a brilliant backdrop for the ceremony, group photos, and portraits later on. It was my first time photographing a wedding at Curated Canvas, and honestly, I’d happily go back.

A Wedding Day Made for the Outdoors

Right from the beginning, it was obvious this was a day designed around being outside. Lucy and Matthew love the outdoors, so having their celebration somewhere surrounded by fields, trees and countryside just made sense. Guests could spread out, enjoy the sunshine and properly take in the setting, which gave the whole wedding such an easy, summery atmosphere.

A Woodland Ceremony at Noah’s Pond

The ceremony in the woods was one of my favourite parts of the day. With Sam White Celebrant leading things, Lucy and Matthew were surrounded by their closest family and friends in a setting that felt completely at home with the rest of their wedding. There was greenery everywhere, plenty of natural light coming through the trees and such a relaxed feel around the ceremony. It was personal without needing loads of decoration, because the setting was already doing so much of the work.

A Tipi Celebration With Countryside Views

The tipi setup at Curated Canvas Weddings worked brilliantly for this kind of day. It gave everyone a proper base for the celebration while still keeping that connection to the outdoors, with the countryside right outside. I loved how easily people could move between the tipi, the ceremony area and the open spaces around Noah’s Pond. It meant the wedding never felt boxed into one room, and there was always something happening somewhere around the venue.

Golden Evening Portraits Across the Fields

Later in the day, we headed into the fields for some quieter couple portraits and the light absolutely delivered. The low sunshine across the grass gave everything this lovely warm glow, while the open countryside around Curated Canvas gave Lucy and Matthew loads of space to just walk, laugh and enjoy a few minutes together. Some of my favourite images came from those moments. Nothing complicated, just the two of them outside in a setting that suited them perfectly.

Fun With Their Favourite People

Lucy and Matthew’s friends and family brought so much energy to the day. The group photos very quickly became less about standing still and more about laughing, cheering and everyone getting involved. That is always when those photographs get better for me. People stop worrying about what they are meant to be doing and just enjoy themselves, and you end up with images that actually feel like the people in them.

Conclusion

Lucy and Matthew’s wedding at Curated Canvas at Noah’s Pond was such a fun one to photograph. The woodland ceremony, tipi celebration, panoramic countryside views and golden evening light all came together in a way that felt completely suited to them.
