I know I’m a little late to the party, but how are we already halfway through the year? 2025 has been a whirlwind in the best way possible, and sitting here looking back, I can’t quite believe I’ve already photographed 13 incredible weddings. Every single one has been so different, and honestly, I still pinch myself that this is what I get to do for a living.

A First Half Full of Variety

From rustic barns to elegant marquees, seaside escapes to country houses, the first six months of 2025 have been full of variety. That’s what I love about this job - no two weddings ever look the same, and each day has its own energy, its own little quirks, and so many unexpected moments. It’s been non-stop, but the kind of non-stop that leaves you buzzing after every weekend.

Favourite Moments That Stand Out

When I think about these 13 weddings, there are certain moments that immediately come to mind: the first time a couple sees each other, speeches that have everyone wiping away tears, and those totally carefree dancefloors when shoes are off and no one wants the night to end. These are the moments that stick, the ones that really remind me why I love doing this. It’s those in-between flashes of emotion that always end up being the favourites.

A Big Thank You to My Couples

I can’t talk about this year so far without saying a huge thank you to the 13 couples who have trusted me with their wedding memories. Being there to witness and capture such personal moments is a privilege I never take for granted. Every laugh, every tear, every chaotic dancefloor move - it all matters, and I feel very lucky to be the one behind the camera.

Looking Ahead to the Next 20 Weddings

Now, as we step into the second half of the year, things are only getting busier. I’ve got 20 weddings still to come, and just thinking about the golden hour portraits, packed dancefloors, and quiet in-between moments gives me that excited, nervous energy all over again. If the first half was anything to go by, this next stretch is going to be something special.

Let’s Make It One to Remember

To all my couples so far this year - thank you for letting me in on your stories. And to all the couples I’ve yet to meet, I cannot wait to see what’s in store for your days. 2025 is shaping up to be a year of unforgettable celebrations, and I’m ready to capture every single moment.

A Mid-Year Reflection

As I move into the latter half of 2025, which is set to be even busier than the first half, I’m feeling really excited about the weddings still to come. There are so many new venues on the horizon, and I’m looking forward to the chance to create something fresh at each one. My aim is always the same- bringing creativity, passion, and care to every single moment, no matter how big or small.

In conclusion, the first half of 2025 with Just James Weddings has been nothing short of amazing. Every celebration so far has been unique, heartfelt, and full of energy, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been there to capture it all. Here’s to even more beautiful stories and unforgettable moments in the months ahead.

Warmest regards,
James
