WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY FOR COTSWOLD WEDDINGS

Cotswold Wedding Photographer - James Clarke

I’ve had the pleasure of shooting weddings in the beautiful area of the Cotswolds. Wedding venues such as Kingscote Barn I have worked at, with second shooting opportunities at Caswell House, Cripps Barn and Manor by the Lake. Ivy Lodge, Barn at Upcote, Eastington Park, all await in 2025, 2026 and 2027. Each of these beautiful venues add an extra layer of enchantment to your special day. My commitment to you as a couple is cutting edge wedding photography, driven by emotion, sets the stage for an unforgettable and memorable day captured through the lens. If you are searching for a Cotswold wedding photographer or Wedding photographer in the local region of the Cotswolds check out my portfolio of weddings. I would love to capture your big day in my signature documentary wedding photography style.

His approach is fun and down to earth and made me especially, feel so much more relaxed. Thank you James!!

Documentary Wedding Photography in the Cotswolds

The Cotswolds has such a distinctive feel for weddings. Beautiful stone buildings, countryside views, barn venues, manor houses, gardens, and villages that already feel full of character before the day has even started.

My approach to documentary wedding photography in the Cotswolds is about capturing that setting without letting it take over from the real story of the day. I’ll focus on the moments as they happen naturally, from the morning build-up and ceremony reactions to the speeches, portraits, and evening celebrations. The aim is always to create a gallery that feels relaxed, honest, and full of the people who made the day what it was.

Natural Wedding Photography Across the Cotswolds

If you’re looking for natural wedding photography in the Cotswolds, my style is relaxed and easy rather than overly posed. I know most couples don’t want to spend the whole day feeling like they’re on a photoshoot, so I’ll guide you when needed and step back when the moments are happening on their own.

The Cotswolds gives us so much to work with, especially with venues like Kingscote Barn, Caswell House, Cripps Barn, Manor by the Lake, and Barn at Upcote. But the best photos are still the ones that feel like you. The laughter, the small looks, the family moments, the dance floor, and everything in between.

Popular Cotswolds Wedding Venues:

I’ve already had the pleasure of working at some of the Cotswold’s stunning wedding venues both as a photographer and as a second photographer or videographer. Here are a few of my current favourites:

2026 and 2027 are set to be even bigger years, with far more ‘new’ venues for myself, including the following:

Dream venues I’d love to work at in the Cotswolds are:

Cotswold Barns, Manor Houses & Countryside Weddings

One of the things I love about photographing weddings in the Cotswolds is the variety of venues. Some days are all about rustic barns and open countryside, while others have more of a manor house or country estate feel.

Each venue brings something different to the photos, whether that’s warm stone walls, gardens, courtyards, long driveways, countryside views, or beautiful indoor spaces for winter weddings. My job is to use the setting well, but not make the whole gallery feel like it’s only about the venue. The people, atmosphere, and real moments always come first.

Elopement Photography in the Cotswolds

The Cotswolds also works beautifully for smaller weddings and elopements. It has that quiet countryside feel that suits intimate celebrations, especially if you’re planning something slower, simpler, and focused on the people closest to you.

Whether you’re getting married at a small venue, a country house, or somewhere tucked away in one of the villages, I’ll photograph it in the same relaxed documentary style. No overcomplicating things, no awkward posing, just honest photos that feel personal to your day.

Why Choose Photographer Just James Weddings in the Cotswolds?

Choosing a wedding photographer in the Cotswolds is about finding someone who can capture the setting without making the whole day feel staged. My approach is relaxed, documentary, and people-focused, so you can enjoy the wedding while I capture the real moments around you.

I’ll help when direction is needed, especially for portraits, family photos, and making the most of the venue, but I won’t take over the day. From our first chat through to the final gallery, the aim is to keep everything calm, clear, and easy, so you feel comfortable in front of the camera and confident that the important moments are being captured properly.
