Elmhay Park Wedding Photography - Anna & Chris
Anna and Chris had one of those wedding days that just felt easy to be around. Sunshine, lots of time outdoors, plenty of laughter, and a crowd that was clearly there to celebrate properly. I really enjoyed photographing this one at Elmhay Park Weddings, it’s such a strong Somerset venue for relaxed days like this, especially when everyone can spread out and enjoy the grounds.
Also, Alfie the dog deserves an early mention because he absolutely stole the show. He was loving life all day, and at one point he fully settled in for a nap on Anna’s wedding dress during the drinks reception, which is exactly as hilarious as it sounds. Moments like that are why I always say dogs at weddings are a very good idea.
Sunshine and Outdoor Space at Elmhay Park Weddings
Elmhay Park Weddings is one of those venues that really comes alive when the weather plays ball. There’s loads of outdoor space for guests to mingle, chat, and actually enjoy the day, which always makes everything feel more natural. Between the stone backdrops, the greenery, and the open space for group photos, it’s a brilliant Somerset wedding venue for couples who want a relaxed vibe without losing that “special” feeling.
Bridal Styling That Works Beautifully Outdoors
Anna’s dress from Elizabeth Anne Bridal photographed so well in the sunlight. It had a fitted silhouette with delicate floral lace, and that detailed lace neckline gave it such a timeless, soft look in portraits. It’s the kind of dress that looks elegant up close but still moves really nicely when you’re walking around the grounds, especially with the outdoorsy feel Elmhay Park has.
Soft, Natural Hair & Makeup That Lasted All Day
Hair and makeup by Katie Pearce Makeup suited Anna perfectly, polished but still very natural. Her hair was styled into a low bun with soft, loose pieces framing her face, which looked amazing in the outdoor shots and held up really well through the day. The makeup had that clean, glowing look that photographs beautifully in daylight, and it stayed looking consistent even with all the hugs, laughing, and time outside.
Rustic Florals and a Simple Three-Tier Cake
The cake and flowers were by Zoe Rew, and they matched the Elmhay Park setting so well. The bouquet had that relaxed, rustic feel with lots of greenery and soft whites. It looked natural and fresh without feeling over-styled, which suited Anna’s dress and the venue perfectly. The cake was a simple three-tier design with smooth, clean icing and minimal styling, and that simplicity worked really nicely with the rustic vibe of the day, especially when paired with the greenery details.
Live Music That Got Everyone Moving
Evening atmosphere matters, and Three Scots and a Barman brought it. Live music always changes the energy in the room, and you could feel the shift as soon as they got going. The evening looked properly lively, the kind where the dance floor fills quickly and no one’s pretending they’re “not a dancer” anymore.
Conclusion
Anna and Chris’ wedding at Elmhay Park Weddings was such a good one to photograph, sunny, relaxed, and full of genuine laughter from start to finish. The supplier team nailed that natural, rustic look, and Alfie’s surprise dress nap honestly just made the whole day even more memorable. Anna and Chris, thank you for having me along, and I really hope you’re both waking up with only slightly sore heads.
