Winkworth Farm Wedding Photography - Anna & Tom
Some wedding days are easy to enjoy from the minute you get there, and Anna and Tom’s was definitely one of them.
The whole day at Winkworth Farm had such a relaxed, happy feel to it, with gorgeous weather, a lovely intimate atmosphere, and two people who were clearly just buzzing to be getting married. By the end of it, with that sunset showing off and everyone properly settled into the evening, it felt like such a brilliant day for the newly married Mr & Mrs Normandale.
I always enjoy a Winkworth Farm wedding when the weather plays nicely, but this one really delivered. The light stayed beautiful all day, the setting looked amazing, and it gave Anna and Tom the chance to properly enjoy being outside and make the most of everything the venue had to offer.
A Lovely, Easy Start to the Day
The morning had such a nice feel to it. No chaos, no rushing about, just that steady build-up of excitement as everyone got ready and the day slowly started to come to life. Anna looked stunning, and there was a calmness around the whole thing that suited this wedding so well. It felt intimate from the start, and that really carried through the rest of the day.
A Ceremony That Felt Truly Personal
Their ceremony had that lovely balance of being emotional without ever feeling too heavy. With a smaller guest list, every smile, every laugh, and every little reaction felt that bit closer and more personal. I always think intimate weddings can feel especially special for that reason, and this one definitely did. Anna and Tom looked so comfortable together, which made everything feel really natural to photograph.
Portraits Around Winkworth Farm
Once the ceremony was done and everyone had relaxed into the day a bit more, we headed out for some portraits around Winkworth Farm. It’s such a good setting for this kind of wedding photography, with open space, lovely views, and plenty of quiet spots to just let the couple be themselves. Anna and Tom made it very easy for me because they were so relaxed together. It never felt staged, just the two of them enjoying a few minutes together and me happening to be there with a camera.
Letting The Couple Have Fun With The Camera
One of my favourite little moments from the day was letting Anna and Tom have a go with one of my cameras. I’ve really enjoyed doing this with couples over the last couple of seasons because it always adds something different to the gallery and usually gets a few laughs too. Tom fully leaned into it and gave me a selfie, which I was very happy about. It’s such a small thing, but it helps the day feel even more playful and personal.
That Sunset Was Worth Waiting For
Then came the sky. I remember thinking it looked promising, but when it really started to light up, I was so glad Anna and Tom trusted me enough to head back outside. Those few extra minutes gave us some of the best portraits of the whole day. The light was unreal, the colours were perfect, and it was such a lovely way to round everything off. This is why I always say it’s worth trusting the photographer when they tell you the sky is doing something special.
Conclusion
Anna and Tom’s Winkworth Farm wedding was such a joy to photograph. It had that perfect mix of intimacy, lovely weather, relaxed energy, and a couple who were just really good fun to be around. From the portraits to the camera selfie to that ridiculous sunset, it was one of those days that came together so well.
Massive congratulations again to Mr. & Mrs. Normandale, and thank you for letting me tag along for it all.
