Sandy Cove Hotel Wedding Photography - Andrew & Daisy
They booked what feels like forever ago, so finally arriving at Sandy Cove Hotel for Daisy and Andrew’s wedding felt really special.
I remember thinking, “We’ve talked about this day for so long, and now it is actually here.” From the moment I walked in, it was obvious this was going to be a proper family day… kids running about, relatives catching up, and a whole lot of love in the room.
The rain might have been hanging around outside, but inside it was all warm hugs, laughter and that lovely “everyone knows everyone” feeling. It was one of those weddings where you could tell how much this day meant to them and to their people.
A Morning Full Of Buzz
The morning was busy in the best way. There were kids popping in and out, dresses being steamed, details laid out, and that soft build up of nervous excitement as the timeline slowly came to life. I loved watching Daisy get ready, supported by family and friends, with Andrew doing the same on his side of things. It felt like the start of something big, but it never tipped over into stress.
A Ceremony That Felt Like Them
When it was time for the ceremony, everyone gathered in close and the whole thing felt very “them” - warm, genuine and full of meaning without being too formal. There were smiles all round, a few deep breaths, and plenty of proud faces as Daisy and Andrew said their vows. It had that relaxed, heartfelt tone that suits a family-focused wedding so well.
Making A Rainy Coastal Day Work
Even though the weather had its own ideas, the rain never once managed to dampen the mood. We stole a few minutes outside for couple photos, tucked under cover with umbrellas close by. The misty coastal backdrop actually added something soft and romantic to the images, and Daisy and Andrew just laughed their way through it. I always love when couples lean into whatever the day brings.
All The Hugs, Dancing And Family Chaos
Everywhere I turned there was something happening… kids being swung around, relatives wrapped up in long hugs, and pockets of conversation happening all over the place. It really was a very family affair full of smiles, dancing and so much hugging. I spent a lot of the day just quietly following the energy, catching those little in-between moments that often end up meaning the most.
Kids On The Dance Floor And Grown-Ups Letting Loose
By the evening, everyone was more than ready to let loose. The DJ had the music going, kids were showing off their best moves, and the grown-ups were not far behind them. It was that brilliant mix of children zooming around, adults singing along and the couple right in the middle of it all, soaking it up. A proper seaside party to end the day.
Conclusion
Daisy and Andrew, thank you so much for having me along to capture it all. Your day at Sandy Cove felt full of heart, laughter, kids’ energy and so much family love, and it was a real privilege to be there with you.
All the best to you, Ziggy and Lula, and I hope every time you look back at the photos, it brings all those hugs, smiles and moments straight back.
