Syrencot Wedding Photography - Jaye & Josh
Jaye and Josh’s wedding at Syrencot was one of those days where you kept half an eye on the forecast, but somehow everything still came together beautifully. I remember thinking how good the whole place looked as soon as I arrived, especially the orangery at Syrencot, which really is such a lovely ceremony space. Bright, elegant, and full of light, it gave the day such a warm start.
What I liked most, though, was how relaxed everyone stayed. Jaye and Josh never seemed thrown by the changing weather, and that made such a difference to the whole feel of the day. Lyla deserves a mention too, because any wedding day is instantly better with a dog involved, and she was very much part of the story. By the time we got those golden hour portraits later on, it honestly felt like the day had rewarded them for being so chilled about everything.
An Easy Start in the Orangery and Around Syrencot
The day started with that nice mix of excitement and calm that always works well. There was plenty going on, but it never tipped into stress. Syrencot has that clean, elegant feel that helps everything look polished straight away, and the morning slotted into that perfectly. It felt like everyone could just settle in and enjoy it.
A Ceremony Full of Smiles in the Orangery
The orangery at Syrencot really was the star of the ceremony. The light coming in, the glass all around, and the soft florals gave everything such a bright, happy feel. Jaye and Josh looked so pleased to be standing there together, and that came through in every photo. It was emotional in places, but mostly it just felt full of warmth and smiles.
Lots of Good Energy Going On
After the ceremony, the day seemed to settle into itself even more. Guests were outside, chatting, laughing, and properly making the most of the grounds at Syrencot. It had that lovely wedding-day buzz where everyone is happy, slightly hungry, and very ready for a drink. Those are always some of my favourite moments to photograph because people forget about the camera and just get on with enjoying themselves.
Portraits Around Syrencot and Time With Lyla
The grounds around the Syrencot wedding venue gave us loads to work with. We made the most of the gardens and the quieter corners for portraits, and having Lyla involved just made it even better. She added that little bit of extra personality to the photos, and it all felt very natural. I always like it when portraits feel like part of the day rather than a big separate event, and that was definitely the case here.
Golden Hour at Syrencot Was Worth the Wait
The highlight for me was definitely getting back outside later on when the light finally turned. I’m so glad Jaye and Josh trusted me on that, because the golden hour at Syrencot really delivered. After the weather wobbling about earlier, it felt like a bit of magic at the end of the day. Those last few portraits were soft, warm, and definitely worth the wait.
Conclusion
Jaye and Josh’s Syrencot wedding was such a lovely one to photograph. It had a brilliant mix of calm, warmth, flexibility, and those little moments that make a day feel really personal. From the orangery ceremony to Lyla’s cameo to that final golden hour in Wiltshire, it all came together so well in the end. Massive congratulations again to you both.
