The Crown Inn Wedding Photography - Roy & Julia
Every so often, I get to photograph not just one milestone, but the journey between them. Roy and Julia’s wedding was one of those days that just felt good to be part of. I’d photographed their proposal the year before, right at the top of Glastonbury Tor, and when they got in touch about the wedding, I was genuinely chuffed to be asked again.
There’s something really special about seeing a couple’s story unfold like that. This time, they gathered everyone much closer to home in North West London for a proper celebration, full of warmth, love, and easy joy.
From Glastonbury to the Big Day
I still remember that moment up on Glastonbury Tor… wind in our faces, golden light, and a big “yes” that set the tone for everything that followed. Seeing Roy and Julia again on their wedding day, with that same spark between them, felt genuinely special. It’s not every day you get to photograph two major chapters in a couple’s journey, and I was really grateful to be part of both.
A Celebration Close to Home
Their wedding day brought everyone together in a part of North West London that already felt familiar and meaningful to them. The venue wasn’t showy or over-the-top… it just had the right energy, with the people who mattered most filling the space with laughter and warmth. It was one of those days where you could tell everyone felt relaxed and truly present.
Sweet Details and Even Sweeter Vibes
There were lovely little touches all over the place, an incredible cake by Brigadeiro Gourmet, personal music choices, and those in-between moments that really make a wedding feel alive. It wasn’t overdone, and that’s what made it special. You could see their personalities in the details without anything feeling forced.
A Day That Felt Like the Beginning
This wasn’t just about a single day, it felt like the beginning of something bigger. You could see it in the way they looked at each other and in the quiet excitement shared between them. There were even hints about the next big step to come, and I’ve got a strong feeling our paths might cross again soon.
Dancing into the Night
As the evening rolled in, the dance floor started filling, and it didn’t take long before it was packed. There was music, movement, and just the right amount of chaos. It was one of those nights where everyone let go a bit, and I loved capturing those free, joy-filled moments to end the day.
Conclusion:
Roy and Julia’s wedding was a reminder that the best days aren’t always about show-stopping venues or packed schedules. Sometimes, it’s about the people, the moments, and the simple joy of being with the ones you love. From Glastonbury sunrises to London dance floors, it’s been such a privilege to tell a bit of their story… and I hope it’s not the last time.
