Brympton House is a historic Somerset wedding venue with beautiful architecture, elegant indoor rooms and spacious grounds surrounding the house. It gives couples the grandeur of a manor house wedding while still allowing the day to feel warm, personal and relaxed.

My style is relaxed, natural, candid and documentary-led. I’m there to tell the story of the wedding as it unfolds, without constantly interrupting the day or asking people to pose for the camera.

Having worked at Brympton House around a dozen times, I understand how the venue changes throughout the day and how its different spaces can be used without taking couples away from their guests for long. I’ll offer guidance when it is helpful, particularly for family photographs and relaxed couple portraits, but most of the gallery is created by quietly watching for genuine interactions, emotion and atmosphere.

The historic rooms, architecture and grounds give the photographs a strong sense of place, but I always want the final gallery to feel like the couple’s wedding rather than simply a collection of venue photographs. The focus remains on the nerves, laughter, hugs, reactions and all the little moments that made the day personal to them.
