Lucy and Jay hold hands on the garden path in front of Eastwood Park, surrounded by ivy-covered walls and soft golden light. The scene captures a romantic and elegant moment with the historic manor as their backdrop.

I’ve got to say, this one had me smiling from the moment I arrived. From their very first message, Lucy and Jay (aka “Jucy” - how good is that?) felt like my kind of people. The vibe for the whole day was fun, relaxed and full of personality, and I honestly had such a good time documenting every bit of it.

One of the first things Jay and I chatted about was American football. Not something I usually find myself talking about on a wedding morning, but Jay’s a full-on coach and player, proper dedication. I could’ve talked to him for ages about it (even if I did give him a bit of stick for being a Bears fan).

It added such a unique energy to the morning, a little reminder that weddings are about two people bringing their full selves to the day, hobbies and all.

Lucy’s eye for details and timings that ran like clockwork made everything flow so easily. It really does make a difference when couples give the day some breathing room. And Eastwood Park - already a stunner, looked unreal with all the autumn colour in full swing.

A Laid-Back Morning with the Best Kind of Nerves

Things kicked off with a peaceful start at Eastwood Park, and I could feel the excitement bubbling under the surface. Lucy was calm and smiley, surrounded by her crew, while Jay had that “let’s do this” energy that I always love to see in a groom. There’s something about capturing those quiet little moments before it all begins that never gets old.

Personal Vows in a Gorgeous Setting

We stepped out after the ceremony for some portraits and the wind... well, it certainly made its presence known! But Lucy and Jay didn’t flinch, they embraced it, laughed through it, and gave me some of the most fun, natural shots of the day. That kind of energy always shines through in the photos.

A Seamless Day Thanks to Perfect Planning

Everything ran so smoothly, no last-minute scrambles or stress, just a well-paced day that gave everyone time to enjoy each part of it. Having that flexibility made the couple portraits easy and relaxed, and even gave us the chance to sneak in a few golden hour frames before the evening kicked off.

Eastwood Park always delivers in autumn, and this day was no different. Between the golden trees outside and the warm glow inside, it felt like the perfect setting for a celebration. As soon as the music started, the dance floor filled up fast… arms in the air, full-volume singalongs and plenty of shapes thrown. Just the way it should be.
