Oaks Farm Weddings Wedding Photography - Kasey & Larisha
Kasey and Larisha’s wedding at Oaks Farm Weddings was one of those days where the energy was there straight away. Wild, emotional, thankful, fun, all of it. I knew pretty quickly that this was going to be a wedding full of personality, and honestly, the sense of community around them was one of the biggest things I took away from the day.
One of my favourite moments happened right at the start. I introduced myself, Lee introduced himself, and everyone just called back, “Hi James!” and “Hi Lee!” That never happens, and it instantly made us feel like we were part of the day rather than just there working it. That feeling stayed with me all the way through.
Oaks Farm Weddings in Surrey suited them so well too. The gardens, outdoor ceremony space, and relaxed setting gave everyone plenty of room to mingle, celebrate, and properly enjoy the day. For Oaks Farm Weddings wedding photography, there is loads to work with without ever needing to pull the couple away from their guests for long.
A Wedding Day Full of Community
The biggest thing about Kasey and Larisha’s day was just how connected everyone felt. Friends and family were fully involved from the beginning, and there was this lovely feeling that everyone genuinely wanted to be part of every moment. I always think that makes such a difference to the photos, because people stop thinking about the camera and just get on with celebrating. The group photos summed that up perfectly too. They quickly turned into dancing, laughing, and everyone bringing their own energy to it. Definitely not one of those weddings where people quietly stand in a line and wait their turn.
An Outdoor Ceremony at Oaks Farm Weddings
The ceremony took place outside at Oaks Farm Weddings, surrounded by greenery and everyone closest to them. It was such a lovely setting, intimate enough to feel personal but with plenty of space around them to let the moment breathe. Kasey and Larisha looked so happy standing there together, and you could see it all over the reactions from their guests too. It felt joyful from start to finish, with loads of warmth and a celebrant-led ceremony that really suited the tone of the day.
Gardens, Greenery and Relaxed Couple Portraits
The gardens at Oaks Farm Weddings gave us some gorgeous places for portraits. Between the trees, pathways, and little tucked-away corners, there was plenty of variety while still keeping everything close to the celebrations. Kasey and Larisha were brilliant together in front of the camera. Nothing felt too posed or overthought, and I loved how easy it was to let them just enjoy a few minutes together while I captured what was happening naturally. The greenery around the venue gave everything such a soft, romantic feel.
Bridal Party Dancing Instead of Standing Still
The bridal party brought so much fun to the photos. There was dancing, cheering, and absolutely no chance of things becoming too formal. I always enjoy group photos more when people are willing to have a laugh with them, and this lot absolutely were. The energy from those moments carried into the rest of the day and really summed up the whole wedding. Everyone was there to celebrate properly.
Kasey DJ’ing Her Own Wedding
Now this was a first-class wedding moment. Kasey getting behind the decks on her own wedding day was such a brilliant addition and completely fitted the vibe of the celebration. With DJs Ayesha Is Offside, Chase Starks LDN, and Torzx also part of the line-up, music was clearly a big part of the day. By the evening, the whole place had properly come alive. It was loud, lively, and exactly the sort of dance floor where I could have happily stayed photographing for hours.
Kasey and Larisha’s Experience at Oaks Farm Weddings
After their wedding at Oaks Farm Weddings in Surrey, Kasey and Larisha shared:
“We’re usually quite shy taking photos but he made us feel so comfortable. He gave us gentle prompts for poses and made the whole process light and fun.”
Larisha also reflected on how naturally James blended into the rest of the celebration:
“Outside of the designated posey picture time he was like a fly on the wall. Truth be told, I forgot he was there at times! As such, he’s captured some beautiful and hilarious candid moments.”
Hearing that they felt comfortable enough to relax and enjoy the day means so much to me. Kasey and Larisha brought such brilliant energy to their Oaks Farm Weddings celebration, so my aim was to give them a little guidance when they needed it, then step back and let everything else happen naturally. The drone group photo was a particular highlight too, and getting everyone involved while keeping it fun summed up the atmosphere of the day perfectly.
Conclusion
Kasey and Larisha’s Oaks Farm Weddings wedding is one I’ll remember for a long time. The outdoor ceremony, the gardens, the bridal party dancing, Kasey taking over the decks, and most of all that huge sense of community made it such a special day to be part of.
Thank you both for making Lee and me feel so welcome from literally minute one. It really did feel like we were part of the celebration, and that is something I never take for granted. Massive congratulations again to you both, even if you are Gooners.
